		<description>This is a fantastic post.  I&#039;m often asked to compare cities in terms of crime, and my response is always that the data is too different to compare.  It is easy, however, to rate cities on their transparency of crime data.  Notably, Detroit, Seattle, and NYC are the biggest offenders in terms of city size and lack of transparency.</description>
