The site is dedicated to having honest conversations based on federal and authoritative data. Our pet peeve is how other sites seem reluctant to have evidence-based discussions with the public. Advocacy seems to rule the internet; few sites address crime and the justice system without an agenda.
We do not ask for money, unlike the vast majority of crime-related sites. We are self-funded. We do not use ads. You can’t take foundation money without carrying their agenda.
The site serves the public through articles and podcasts that incorporate multiple sources of good (mostly federal) data. Some articles are created in a day. Some take weeks to seek expert opinions.
The site is dedicated to taking complex topics and breaking them down into products that the average person can use to understand crime and related justice topics.
